What you will learn?
The course explores the impact of physical activity and exercise for someone managing cancer. We will review common terminology and treatments to help us speak the cancer language. We investigate why exercise and physical activity is important, and frameworks on how to practically implement exercise therapy programs. We discuss the practicalities of managing side effects of cancer and treatments including fatigue, bone metastasis, chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy and cardiotoxicity. We bring this all together with several case studies, to practice implementing our new found knowledge!
